The Product
THE ANTIQUE STONE SYSTEM is a combination of proven technologies and systems for the manufacturing and marketing of a unique range of reconstituted stone products.
Reconstituted stone was invented by the Romans, and some examples have survived over 2,000 years. Today’s reconstituted stone is basically the same except for modern additives and processes that makes ANTIQUE STONE even more durable and natural in appearance.
All ANTIQUE STONE products are recreations of natural European stone with an emphasis on natural aged patina & traditional design. We do not make cheap coloured concrete imitations. i.e. Our limestone is a recreation of Parisienne Limestone and Village Stone tiles & Flags an exact replica of Italian Basalt flagstones carved by the Franciscans of Assisi, 500 years ago.
We are a firm of Landscape Architects specialising in only the highest quality domestic projects on the east coast of Australia. Due to our professional market area we specify only the best quality finishes & products. We have been specifying Antique Stone products since the inception of the Antique Stone Company.
The unique process of manufacture has allowed us to specify the paving product to be specifically sized for individual projects which has allowed us to explore non traditional use options for both the paving & feature products available through the Antique Stone range. The unique product has in turn been beneficial to our marketing as we are able to provide our clients with something a little bit different & special. "

The Team
Bob Batchelor founded ANTIQUE STONE in 1994 after 
25 years experience in the building and manufacturing industries. The need was there for a stone with natural patina that could survive the harsh Australian climate but was also cost effective. After less than one year in production ANTIQUE STONE became the most specified product within the design community.
12 years on ANTIQUE STONE now sets the benchmark with many prestigious projects completed. In 2002 Bob set about further perfecting THE ANTIQUE STONE SYSTEM for other countries including North America, South Africa and Europe.
8 Plants later, we are still a family owned and operated company. We truley do understand small business and what it takes to suceed.
From set up through to production, the training, knowledge and ongoing support provided by Bob and his
team has been second to none.
